Meet Ginny!

Ginny will be ready for a furever home in a month or so after she has recovered from having her pups. She was rescued from a shelter where she was a day away from being put to sleep with her pups in her.

Ginny was picked up as a stray and it's hard to imagine who would let this wonderful dog roam off on her own and not go looking for her. Ginny is very sweet, can be off leash, housebroken, good with other dogs and would make a wonderful addition to a family or be a gentle companion.

We found Ginny currently being cared for at the maternity ward at Rocket Dog Rescue in San Francisco, California. Rocket Dog Rescue is a San Francisco Bay Area dog rescue organization run by a group of dedicated volunteers. They save dogs from death at over-crowded shelters and find them loving, happy homes. Now into their sixth year, RDR is stronger than ever, and has saved the lives of over 1,900 animals!

We first heard about Rocket Dog Rescue through ExperienceProject.com's new Save a Dog Project, where you can play a fun trivia game and help earn kibble for pups in need at the same time! According to the site:

How does playing the trivia game at Save Pets help to save the puppies?

Each year, somewhere between 6 and 8 million cats and dogs enter animal shelters in the United States. Nearly half of those are euthanized, or "put down"-- that's about 3-4 million cats and dogs every year! Experience Project has thousands of pet owners who love their animal companions, and we think that these statistics are tragic. So, we started Save Pets to change this! When you play the trivia game at Save Pets, we provide one kibble of cat or dog food to our charities for every correct answer. Helping feed hungry pets in shelters frees up resources to find these pets safe and happy homes!

Which charities receive funding from Save Pets?

We work with Rocket Dog Rescue and the Urban Cat Project.

Who pays for the cost of saving the animals?

Our advertisers pay by sponsoring the game with their ads. By doing so, they not only are getting the word out about their products and services, but also are helping to save cats and dogs around the country. We are very thankful for these advertisers -- if you want to show your support, click on any of their ads and check out their products! In the event the advertising revenue doesn't cover the cost of the kibbles, we will donate 100% of all revenue to the charities, without regard for our own costs.
