Meet Ralph!

They just don’t come much nicer than Ralph!

This gentle hound mix was rescued from a local KY shelter where he was facing death row. He has been at the sanctuary for several years now, so has become a bit of a king in his yard. However, this amazingly gentle, sensitive guy rules merely by barking orders, and gets along great with everyone. His favorite activities are dinnertime, snoozing in the shade, and showing off for visitors by posing on top of his doghouse! Born in 1997, Ralph has spent most of his life at the sanctuary—but we still have hope that the right family is out there for him. Could it be yours?

We found Ralph currently being cared for by Home At Last Animal Sanctuary in Salvisa, Kentucky. They are accredited by the American Sanctuary Association, and provide lifetime care for many animals including dogs, cats, pigs, cows, goats, rabbits and a horse, and includes a separate wildlife refuge. They are a for-life sanctuary, emphasizing the concept of compassion and offering exceptional quality of life for many formerly abandoned or abused animals. Their programs include rescue, adoption, educational outreach, low-income spay/neuter assistance, and feral trap/spay/neuter/release.
