Animal shelter shows off dogs at Farmers’ Market

I love this story...it's about a shelter that is thinking out of the box to help their pups find new homes, and taking adoptable dogs to a farmers market. I love farmers markets, and there are a wide variety of people that attend such events to find everything from locally grown produce, to jams/jellies, and even coffee. What a great social place to help a pup find a new furever home...

Animal shelter shows off dogs at Farmers’ Market

The Fayetteville Animal Shelter is seeking volunteers to help showcase homeless pets in Fayetteville.

One of the most popular venues, according to Animal Shelter Superintendent Jill Hatfield, is the Fayetteville Farmers' Market.

"The Farmers'Market is great because you get all types of people since it's a community type event," she said. "Some people don't necessarily come out to the shelter, so it gives us an opportunity to show people the types of dogs and cats we have in the community."
