Meet Ruckus!

This gentle giant is a real catch. Ruckus is very friendly with both people and other dogs. Plus, he already knows how to “sit” and “shake.” This big boy would rather play with his people than toys, and despite his size he’s fairly neutral about rawhides and other treats too. So if you have enough love for this 150 pound cuddle bug then come meet Ruckus today!

We met Ruckus through the Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin, Illinois. Incorporated in 1966, Anderson Animal Shelter has provided temporary housing for approximately 3,400 dogs, cats, birds, gerbils, hamsters, ferrets, rabbits and other homeless or abandoned pets. They are committed to a low-kill philosophy (100% adoption of adoptable animals) and so do not place time limits on any of the animals in their care. In 2001, an on-site veterinary clinic was added to provide health care for Shelter animals and to assist in the goal of spaying/neutering all adopted dogs & cats before they leave the Shelter.
