Meet Wyatt!

Wyatt is a lovely young dog who has been cared for since July by another rescuer. He is now ready for his new home! Wyatt will do best in a stable and respectful home with another dog or two. He is shy and did shut down the first few days he was here but is beginning to blossom and show his true self. He is sweet and devoted, but is also unsure.

Wyatt needs a quiet, self assured handler to bring him along and expose him to the world. I would think that once he gains some confidence, he would make a nice sports dog for the devoted partner. He is the sort of dog that will work for his handler because he loves them...with some socialization, he may make a nice therapy dog as he has that quiet presence about him. Wyatt is fine with cats and showed sweet interest in the resident 4 year old two legger. Wyatt has lovely manners, is housebroken, crate trained and walks nicely on leash.

We met Wyatt through Mid-Atlantic (Kent County) Border Collie Rescue in Chestertown, Maryland.
