Oh, la, la!!! Sofia is a beautiful pure breed Mastiif. She was rescued from the county shelter where she had been given up because she was not getting along with the other dog in the home.
She is very large and strong and only about 10 months old. She is new to the shelter and they will have more info soon. But, for now they say she is just the sweetest girl ever and her eyes will melt your heart! Breed experience is preferred.
We found Sofia currently being cared for by the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge. RBARI is Bergen County's only non-profit, "no-kill" shelter. Located in Northern New Jersey. RBARI is dedicated to the welfare of companion animals in our community. We protect the abandoned, abused, and unwanted animals in our care by finding them kind and loving homes. We give our cats and dogs food, shelter, medical treatment, and, of course, love.

Meet Irving!
Irving is so adorable! He is mostly white with some brown cow spots, an American Bulldog, Pit Bull Terrier Mix. He is just about 1 year old and is a super friendly and social little guy. He was taken from a city shelter where they had found him as a stray wondering the streets, all beat up and scarred.
Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge took him in and nursed him back to health. He is heartworm positive but already underwent treatment to fix it. He also still has a lot of scars as reminder of what he has been through. After everything all he craves is attention. He is desperate to be loved! Please give this little man a chance at a wonderful life that he deserves!

As many of you know my sister Gracie was taken from a hoarder in South Central, Indiana. Another case of hoarding of large proportions was recently discovered in Bergen County, in Northern New Jersey, which the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge serves.
Animal welfare workers seized over 100 dogs and cats from a hoarder, some had suffered horrible deaths, but some are alive and now being cared for. The shelters are full and many dogs and cats in that area need help. We hope you will do what you can through donations of goods, services or funds, through foster or adoption, or by helping to get the word out further.
