Charlie is a charming young brittany boy who was turned into the humane society for basically "being a puppy". Yes, he does have a high activity level, and may get into a little bit of mischief (given the chance), but none of his behaviors are outside the realm of a normal brittany puppy. In fact, his foster home thinks he might have the edge on most puppies with his good looks and silly personality.
He is a "conversationalist" - he likes to talk to you to get your attention. He is not a barker, but makes fun little vocalizations that add to his charm.
Charlie loves to play with other dogs, and would really like a playmate. He is good with kids and other animals. He needs some socialization and work on obedience, but is very eager to please. He would make a great addition to a family/home who has some time to spend giving him the groundwork he'll need to be an awesome adult dog.
We found Charlie through American Brittany Rescue and he is being fostered in Utah. For more information on Charlie, click here!

Meet Milo, Duke IV, and Silky!
Milo, Duke IV and Silky are all Bichons, ages 5, 11 and 7 years old.
Milo, the fantastic little guy on the left! Aren't they the best looking trio? They are a bit sad right now because their owner passed away, but they're also very optimistic that they will find wonderful new homes.
Duke is Milo's father, and Silky is Milo's mother. They've been together a long time and would like to stay that way. However, they do understand that adopting 3 dogs is a lot to ask of one person or family. They are willing to part as long as they all go to excellent and loving homes!
All three adore children, dogs, and even cats. They are all house-broken, house-trained, healthy, and low-maintenance. They just want to be loved and appreciated.
Their former human Daddy was so kind to them, and he raised them up right! They are beyond precious.
We found these three currently being cared for by Max Fund, in Denver. Colorado. The MaxFund is a non-profit organization that was established in May of 1988 to provide medical care for injured pets with no known owners, and to seek out new homes for these animals once they have recovered. The MaxFund is a no-kill dog and cat shelter. MaxFund assists hundreds of people and animals each year by trying to make the correct match between owner and pet. MaxFund adopts our animals to Colorado residents only.

Meet Molly!
Molly is a great little girl waiting for her forever home. She is a 1.5 year old Chihuahua mix and weighs about 15 lbs. She is good with children and other dogs, but would do well without cats.
We found Molly being taken care of by the Arizona Animal Welfare League in Phoenix, Arizona. Founded in 1971, The Arizona Animal Welfare League and SPCA is the state's oldest and largest no-kill shelter. Their shelter facilities provide a temporary home for nearly 2,000 dogs and cats every year, offering medical and behavioral treatment for those in need.

Meet Sugar!
Sugar is a Cattle Dog mix of 2 years old. She is housebroken and would do well around older children (8+ years or older). She weighs about 50 pounds. Sugar has one request and that is that she be the "only" 4-legged companion in the home as she doesn't like to share the attention.
She loves to snuggle on the couch with you and probably in your bed as well. A fenced yard is required. Sugar I recently went and did a "School Visit" and was so sweet and great with all of the kids!
We found Sugar currently being cared for by Pet Refuge in Mishawaka, Indiana. Pet Refuge is a not-for-profit "no-kill" animal shelter run by volunteers for the placement of unwanted and abandoned pets into responsible permanent homes.

Meet Vanessa!
Vanessa is a real cutie who is very playful and loves belly rubs. She is a young terrier mix who enjoys wrestling with her roommate and playing fetch. She is a small-size prize!
She needs a home without children under the age of 5 or cats and special fencing because of my talent for climbing chain link.
We met Vanessa through Living Free Animal Sanctuary in Mountain Center, California. In 1980 Emily Jo Beard acquired 153 acres in the San Jacinto Mountains near Idyllwild and named it Living Free Animal Sanctuary — which is the only sanctuary founded by Emily. She devoted the rest of her life to providing refuge for orphaned cats and dogs. "We have an obligation to better the lives of the animals with whom we share the earth," said Emily. Today at Living Free they: save the lives of Cats and Dogs who otherwise would be euthanized; spread the message that our companion cats and dogs are entitled to secure lives enhanced by loving care; and teach youngsters and adults to understand, respect and value animals.

Meet George Weasley!
Six-month-old George Weasley is a sensitive and gentle flower. He will thrive in a calm home and will benefit from plenty of socialization to help him blossom. George Weasley is rated for children of any age. He currently weighs 18 pounds, is UTD on routine shots and neutered.
George is currently being cared for by ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation) in Walnut Creek, California. Baseball manager Tony La Russa and his wife, Elaine, co-founded ARF in 1991 after he rescued a terrified stray cat that ran onto the field during an A's-Yankees game.
From its humble beginnings, ARF has grown quickly, so that they are now able to rescue and find loving homes for more and more abused and abandoned cats and dogs each year. They also have created programs that bring the healing touch of animals to at-risk youth and others who dearly need a good dose of unconditional love.

Meet Timmy!
Timmy loves to sleep in bed with his foster parents! He will burrow his way all the way to the bottom of the bed and sleep there most of the night. He is in foster care with much larger dogs and loves to play with them and they take such gentle care of him. Timmy is a three year old, male, Chihuahua.
Everyone likes Timmy - dogs and people. He is so tiny and loves to be carried around but has plenty of energy to play and go for walks too. Timmy will enrich many lives and his new family will be very lucky to have such a cute, loving canine friend to share their lives with!
Timmy's idea home would be an adult only home. He is house trained, walk well on a leash, is very social with other dogs, and is unknown with cats.
We found Timmy currently being cared for by R.E.S.C.U.E in Phoenix, Arizona. RESCUE is an acronym that stands for Reducing Euthanasia at Shelters through Commitment and Underlying Education. Their primary focus continues to be the adult cats and dogs who are scheduled to be euthanized. They operate with the philosophy that for every animal placed, they are back at Animal Care and Control to rescue another. The passion that began RESCUE has resulted in a volunteer-driven non-profit corporation with over 300 dedicated volunteers who have helped them care for and place over 8,000 wonderful cats and dogs.

Meet Fergus!
Fergus is a four to five month old Sheepdog/Aussie mix male puppy. He is super social and he loves other dogs. He seems quite bright and learned his name in just a couple of hours, also mastered stairs (he had seemingly never been up or down stairs previously!) .
He also listens well and really wants to please. He is snuggly and has an active and fun-loving personality - but he also knows how to stop, relax and "smell the roses" or rather - enjoy a cuddle and a good nap (or sleep through the night!). He's a very active young man and will need lots of exercise. Everyone that meets Fergus falls in love. We'd like him to have a home with a good yard, another dog and people who know and understand dogs and have the time to give him a great life!
We met Fergus through the Milo Foundation in Berkeley, California.
The Milo Foundation was named after an Australian Shepherd. Milo was five weeks old when Lynne Tingle discovered that her puppy was both deaf and blind. Despite concerns from friends and family, Lynne was determined to give Milo a good life.
Today, The Milo Foundation is an established 501(c)(3) nonprofit, no-kill organization providing an alternative for homeless pets throughout Northern California, through education, adoption services, and providing sanctuary for animals until permanent homes can be found. Founded in August of 1994, The Milo Foundation is located on two hundred and eighty-three acres in Mendocino County - offering lots of room for the animals to run and play. Milo houses cats, dogs, puppies and kittens - occasionally farm animals and other domestic creatures find their way to the sanctuary.

Meet Brittany!
Brittany is a Brittany Spaniel. She is a sweet lady who was taken out of the pound and brought to Animal Ark in hopes of finding a real family to love and call her own. She's an older gal, looking for mellow fun. She just spent a week in foster care so they could find out more about her.
Her foster mom says that she is very cuddly and friendly and in a home setting, she's much more comfortable and eager to spend time with people. When she's happy, she would often do little "dances" around the house! Brittany does just fine with other dogs, but would also be OK being the only dog. And she's housetrained! One funny thing about her is that she can’t bark. Sometimes, she gets all excited and moves her mouth like she is barking but nothing comes out! It doesn’t seem like she's been debarked, because she doesn't make that quiet, croaky sound.
So, hey, do you have a spot for a cuddly, good-natured girl who’s easy to have around? Maybe you should come meet her! We found Brittany currently being taken care of by Animal Ark in Twin Cities, Minnesota!

Meet Butchie!
Butchie is a mature Airedale Terrier who appreciates a calm, quiet environment. The poor guy found himself in the middle of a divorce, and he subsequently became homeless.Butchie is a refined soul. (He is not a real fan of petting and roughhousing.) Also, he'd like you to know that he would really rather be the only pet in an adult-only house.
Butchie would make a very nice walking companion. He walks very well on a leash, never tugging or pulling. In fact, walking beside a kind two-legged friend is how Butchie prefers to interact with people.
He is pretty sensitive about having some parts of his body, such as his muzzle and mouth, handled. Poor Butchie also becomes nervous in new or unfamiliar situations. So a stable, predictable home is what this adorable older gentleman is searching for.
Now that we got those things out of the way, it's time to meet this quiet, considerate friend and discover the incredible gentleman that he is.
We found Butchie being cared for by Animal Friends. Animal Friends, Southwestern Pennsylvania’s premier companion animal resource center, is committed to building, nurturing and respecting the human-animal bond and creating a community where our relationship with companion animals is guided by compassion

Meet McGuyver!
McGuyver is an extremely cute little guy, solid white, about 12 lbs and about 5 mos old. He is very friendly and playful and likes other dogs and cats.
He came out of the shelter where he was surrendered along with 17 other animals! He is still occasionally fearful, particularly of vacuum cleaners and reprimands from older dogs. These things make him want to hide under furniture sometimes, but a loving home should soon cure him of that. He has received his rabies shot, heartworm test, puppy shot, worming, and spay/ neuter.
We found McGuyver currently being cared for by Jackson County Humane Society in Sylvia, NC. They are an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit corporation composed of a small group of volunteers who rescue animals from the shelter, the roads, and the community and keep them in their own homes. ARF has a no-kill policy, which means that volunteers foster the animals until someone adopts them, no matter how long it takes. Some animals have been fostered for more than thirteen years.

Meet Eddie!
Eddie is a pleasure to walk on a leash and knows how to sit, lie down and almost roll over on cue. He may not go all the way over because his ears are still hurting him a little.
Eddie was living in a home and was loved by his family, but when they handled his painful ears, he reacted defensively and they returned him to the shelter. Eddie has chronic ear and eye problems that are so typical of Cockers. All his new adopter will have to provide is a home and plenty of love. Eddie was born in February 2003 and is 29 lbs.
We found him currently being care for by the League for Animal Welfare in Cincinnati, Ohio. They are a voluntary, nonprofit, humane organization chartered in 1949. The League for Animal Welfare, which has operated as a no-kill shelter since 1964, is dedicated to bettering the lives of companion animals in the Greater Cincinnati area by providing shelter, adoption, public education, and spay/neuter programs.

Meet Prescott!
Prescott is a handsome Husky mix. He will be a very large boy when grown. He has a very sweet temperment. He would do well in a family-type setting because he loves kids, cats, other dogs, and life in general!
He is doing well with crate training but he does have one problem - he thinks he is a lap dog. That's ok for now but if he gets to be 100 lbs, we may have a problem! He needs plenty of exercise, is UTD on routine shots and is already house trained.
Prescott is currently be cared for by P.A.W.S (Pets Are Worth Saving), a 501 (c)3, non-profit organization based in Effingham County, Ga with volunteers throughout the Coastal Empire. PAWS is dedicated to saving animals and ensuring that they have a loving, healthy, happy place to live. PAWS screens potential owners before allowing any of our wonderful animals to be adopted. Only responsible owners will be considered. This ensures that the right match is being made for both the potential owner and the animal!

Meet Fern!
Fern came to the Home At Last Animal Shelter in Salvisa, Kentucky, with her mother and eight siblings at only ten days old in the spring of 2000.
They were found in a barrel in a very rural KY community where strays are “controlled” by poisoning or shooting. They have all been adopted, now only Fern and her brother Woodrow remain.
These beautiful shepherd mixes are sweet, though a bit shy of newcomers since they haven’t spent much time off of the sanctuary grounds. They are full of energy, but calm down easily for one-on-one attention. Fern has always been a bit stockier than her siblings and is the most playful.
Home At Last Animal Sanctuary, accredited by the American Sanctuary Association, provides lifetime care for many animals including dogs, cats, pigs, cows, goats, rabbits and a horse, and includes a separate wildlife refuge.
They are a for-life sanctuary, emphasizing the concept of compassion and offering exceptional quality of life for many formerly abandoned or abused animals. Programs include rescue, adoption, educational outreach, low-income spay/neuter assistance, and feral trap/spay/neuter/release.

Scout is a Australian Shepherd/Queensland Heeler mix. Born in December 2005, he is about 36 lbs. We found Scout currently being cared for by the Helen Woodward Animal Center in Santa Fe, California.
At Helen Woodward Animal Center, people help animals and animals help people. Under one management, this unique organization benefits the community by providing educational and therapeutic programs for people, and humane care and adoption for animals. The Center's varied services benefit the community by providing educational and therapeutic programs for people, and humane care and adoption for animals.

Sam, a young hound/retriever mix, is a very loving dog with a really sweet personality. Friendly toward other dogs and very affectionate towards people. He would be a wonderful family dog.
He is up to date with routine shots and has been neutered. We found Sam currently being cared for by S.O.S. Animal Shelter in Enterprise, Alabama.
Save Our Strays (S.O.S.) Animal Shelter was founded in 1981 to rescue, shelter and adopt neglected, abused and homeless dogs and cats in the city and local counties. Meet Katie!
Katie, a 5 year old, Sharpei/Terrier Mix, is a playful little girl with lots of love to give. Sadly, she lost her home due to a death in the family. Active and energetic, Katie can be a little reserved at first, but will be all smiles once she gets to know you.
We found Katie currently being cared for at the Animals Benefit Club of Arizona, located in Phoenix, Arizona. ABC is a non-profit 501-C3 organization founded in January 1979 by teacher Dee Kotinas and her junior high school high-risk students. Their only source of income is through public donations, bequests and grants.
ABC's Sanctuary has become a model for other no-kill sanctuaries throughout Arizona and elsewhere. ABC has been extremely active in state and local legislation representing the rights and needs of animals and pet owners.

Meet Einstein!
Einstein is blind. But before you count him out as your next best friend please give him a chance and read more about him. You see, even though he is blind....Einstein is a wonderful little dog despite the fact that he spent the first part of his life in pure misery.
Einstein had spent his whole life living in a cage. Rescued from a puppy mill where he had been used for breeding...and having nothing his whole life, this little guy is amazingly loving and sweet. After discovering that Einstein was blind due to cataracts, he was no longer "valuable" and was tossed out like trash. He was rescued and we are so happy to have him!
This six year old, male, cocker spaniel, may be blind, but it seems that he may be able to regain some sight in his right eye with surgery. He loves other dogs and people. He is such a sweet boy. His tail wiggles in pure joy whenever he is with people.
Because he is blind, he needs people who will understand his disability...if you can do that, Einstein will wiggle his way into your heart and will be the best friend you will ever have!
We found Einstein currently being cared for by Pet Promise in Columbus, Ohio. Pet Promise is made up a a group of volunteers who care about the future of companion animals and who work together to help change the future of homeless pets.
