Edie is a young (~12-18 month old) yellow Labrador Retriever female surrendered by the person who found her running loose over the winter. He kept her in a corn crib for the last 4 months where she was underfed and injured by the jagged corrugated metal floor.
He finally decided he no longer wanted her. She is very sweet, very thin, friendly, loves attention and is a little shy. Her coat is in poor condition and has a healing "gouge" injury on her right hip.
She will be given time to recover her ordeal and then spayed, vaccinated and Microchipped in preparation for a new home. She is about 22-23 inches tall and weighs ~45-50 pounds. I can tell she has a huge heart and is very forgiving despite her recent treatment. What a special girl this is!!!
We found Edie currently being cared for by Canine Solutions: Rescue in Rochester, Illinois. Canine Solutions: Rescue is a division of Canine Solutions which is a doggie help service providing assistance with dog behavior problems, training issues and foster care for Labrador Retrievers

Meet Holly!
This is Happy Holly! Her nickname fits her to a T. She is a cute little yellow female, 3.5 yrs old, housebroken, crate trained, spayed, up to date on vaccinations and she is good with dogs and children.
We met Holly through Labrador Retriever Rescue in the Washington, DC Area. As an organization, they strongly believe that matching Labs with the perfect owner is of utmost importance, so they take the extra time to thoroughly evaluate both Labs and potential adopters.

Meet Del Monty!
Too much dog? Del Monty isn't sure that's an insult! But it's the reason his family left him at an animal shelter. He's been sad and waiting for a new family ever since.
He's only two years old, a Labrador Retriever, and completely healthy. He's terrific with kids! And he's just fine with other dogs, too. Strangely, even though he's young, he has a teeny bit of a hip problem and takes a little medication for it. But he promises it's not much trouble. He's active, fun, and oh-so-loveable. A little basic obedience training might help his manners a tad.
He just needs a family who'll love him for the rest of his life! And while he's waiting, he'd be so, so happy if you sponsored him.
We found Del Monty currently living at the Best Friends Animal Society's DogTown in Utah. The mission of Best Friends is driven by the simple philosophy that kindness to animals helps build a better world for all of us. And the work of Best Friends is supported entirely through the donations of members and supporters. Through the generous hearts and hands of people like you, they can ensure that animals who come into the care of Best Friends will never again be alone, hungry, sick, afraid, or in pain.

Meet Dizzy!
A black lab/shepherd mix born in October 1999, Dizzy is a good natured, happy fellow. He has a neurological condition which causes him to have poor coordination and makes him appear "dizzy". In every way, though, he is a regular guy, walks well on a leash and loves to play tug-of-war. I bet he loves hanging out on the outdoor furniture.
We found Dizzy currently being cared for by Lafayette Animal Aid, a cat and dog rescue and adoption organization, based in Carencro, just outside of Lafayette, Louisiana. They are an ‘all-breed’ rescue group and don’t discriminate against any animal due to size, age, breed, color or background. Their cats and dogs stay with them - and receive a safe and caring haven and all necessary veterinary care - until a permanent home is found for them. They were founded in 1974 and are a chartered 501(C)3 non-profit humane society.

Meet Smiley!
Smiley is a very sweet, lovable and playful little black lab looking for a friendly, active, loving home. He loves walks, loves his playtime and gets along with both kids and other dogs (with a proper introduction). Smiley was a stray and his owner has never stepped forward to claim him. Lost and alone, Smiley found comfort in a kind temporary home until the right family comes along for life!
We found Smiley currently being cared for by Raccoon Valley Animal Sanctuary & Rescue in Des Moines, Iowa. Raccoon Valley Animal Sanctuary & Rescue believes that all life is sacred and that every companion animal has the right to live a full and joyful life. They pride themselves in making "lifetime matches" between owners and companions, resulting in less than 1% of our animals being returned to any shelter environment.

Meet Sweetie!
Adorable, good looking, flexible, canine female seeks forever human of her own! That is Sweetie in a nutshell.
A one-year old Lab Mix, Sweetie is a highly energetic pooch with a strong desire to play, express affection, and please you. Sometimes, she barks out of frustration, but is is such a quick learner that if you work with her, I'll make you proud. She does know how to sit and shake and how to jump on you but would love to attend a positive obedience class to expand her skill set. She would love a fenced in yard to run and play in, and expand her youthful energy.
We found Sweetie currently being cared for by C.A.R.E. in Evanston, Illinois. C.A.R.E. is the Community Animal Rescue Effort, a 501c3 not-for-profit all volunteer organization dedicated to promoting the humane treatment of domestic pets through public education and active involvement with the abused and abandoned animals brought to the Evanston Animal Shelter.

Meet Kris Kringle!
Kris Kringle is an adult Labrador Retriever, Newfoundland Mix. We found Kris at the Wisconsin Humane Society.
Founded in 1879, the Wisconsin Humane Society (WHS) is a private nonprofit organization that is funded through the generosity of individual donors and receives no government support. As the largest and most recognized shelter in the State of Wisconsin, WHS offers specialized adoption services to match homeless companion animals with new families and provide follow up and support.
WHS receives animals from the community, the local animal control facility and other shelters inundated with animals. WHS also provides medical care for nearly 20,000 animals annually. Some of those animals are patients in our clinic and more than 5,000 are wild animals in need of rehabilitation. WHS maintains a spay/neuter clinic for animals from low-income households and provides education for children and adults to respect and care for animals and to end neglect and abuse. WHS also offers manners and puppy classes for dogs from the public.
The WHS Wildlife Rehabilitation Center is one of the largest in the nation. WHS merged with the Ozaukee Humane Society in 2004 to more effectively meet the needs of animals. Both the organizations remain focused on a shared mission and service to animals and people in their community.

Meet Rudolph!
Here he is, big enough to pull a small sleigh, and his name is Rudolph.
Rudolph is a fine purebred Chocolate Lab. Don't be fooled by his sad compelling eyes, he knows how to have fun - 2+ years is just the right age for being settled, mellow with knowledge of a few commands under his belt. He knows sit and stay; and he's good on a leash. Good with my colleagues (canines) and friendly to humans, he'd be proud to accompany someone on a stroll around the block.
We found Rudolph currently being cared for by the Miami Valley Labrador Retriever Rescue. The Miami Valley Labrador Retriever Rescue is a small group of volunteers from the Miami Valley Labrador Retriever Club (an AKC licensed specialty club in southwestern Ohio)and other caring community members. They are dedicated to the Labrador Retriever breed and support the rescue and referral of Labs in need of new homes in our geographic area.
